I spent six years living in Norway, often hearing friends joke that I was “across the pond,” beyond the sea. Over time, the water between us became more than a distance, it turned into a symbol of longing and connection.
 
Coming home, this small edible cockle, found along Estonia’s northern beaches, became a gentle reminder of everything I had missed: quiet sands, familiar places, and the sense that Estonia would always be my anchor.
 
Sometimes you have to step away to understand how much home holds.
